Valentine's DAY!

Nicolette celebrated her first Valentine's Day! She even activated her core muscles during PT (with head support)! We couldn't believe it; she just sat right up! After PT, we spent the day making the best presents (see photo below). Dad got the best print. It took three people to paint her footprints, one to paint, one to press her foot and one to clean! We then celebrated her 4 month birthday the following day! What a weekend

Where Dusk Meets Dawn... We Carry on and Nic Smiles.

Our first daughter Nicolette, was diagnosed with severe, Hydrocephalus caused by an inter hemispheric cyst on her 18-week sonogram. This condition has caused her brain to separate as the cyst collected fluid. In addition, her brain cannot properly drain her CSF causing severe swelling in her ventricle and often, mild to profound brain damage. We were told to expect a child that would NEVER "interact with her environment", a child the would never meet the simplest of developmental benchmarks. Nic has other plans. As the title of our family blog suggests, anything can happen child, ANYTHING can be. Thank you for reading this blog; I hope it gives you some peace as many others have done for our family.
